Sam Crawford MLB Hall of Fame 1957

Samuel E Crawford was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1957 along with Joseph McCarthy. Crawford was an OF\1B with 19 seasons MLB experience playing with the Cincinnati Reds (1899-1902) and Detroit Tigers (1903-1917). For his MLB career he hit .309/.362/.452 with 97 HR, 1525 RBI, 1391 R, 367 SB in 2517 games. 

I believe his best three seasons were 1911 when he hit .378/.438/.526 with 7 HR, 115 RBI, 109 R, 37 SB in 146 games, 1901 when he hit .330/.378/.524 with 16 HR, 104 RBI, 91 R, 13 SB in 131 games and 1910 when he hit .289/.332/.423 with 5 HR, 120 RBI, 83 R, 20 SB in 154 games. 

Crawford led the National League in triples in 1902 (22). He led the American League in triples in 1903 (25), 1910 (19), 1913 (23), 1914 (24) and 1915 (19). He led the AL in doubles in 1909 (35). He led the NL in home runs in 1901. He led the AL in home runs in 1908 (7). He led the AL in RBI in 1910, 1914 (104) and 1915 (112). He led the AL in runs in 1907 (102).

He was second in AL MVP voting in 1914. His 309 career triples are the MLB record.  He also holds the MLB record for most inside-the-park home runs in a season with 12 in 1901. He had 51 career inside-the-park home runs for second best in MLB history.
