Reid Brignac traded to Rockies
Reid Brignac was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Colorado Rockies on February 14, 2013 for cash and a player to be named later. Brignac is a SS\2B with five seasons MLB experience all with the Rays. He split 2012 between Triple A Durham and the Rays. He hit .231/.323/.353 with 8 HR, 46 RBI, 45 R, 3 SB in 99 games at Durham and hit .095/.136/.095 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 16 games with the Rays. For his MLB career he has hit .227/.268/.317 with 10 HR, 67 RBI, 69 R, 8 SB in 256 games. He was originally drafted by the Devil Rays in the second round in 2004. Brignac turned 27 on January 16.
