Joe Wieland traded to Braves
Joe Wieland was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Atlanta Braves on September 14, 2016 for a PTBNL. He had been traded to the Mariners in January 2016 and split the season between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners, He was 14-6, 5.43 ERA, 118 K, 1.55 WHIP, .302 BAA in 124.1 IP over 26 games at Tacoma and 0-1, 10.80 ERA, 3 K, 1.80 WHIP, .391 BAA in 5.0 IP in 1 game with the Mariners. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the fourth round in 2008. Wieland will be 27 on January 21..
