Phil Coke traded to Pirates

Phil Coke was traded by the New York Yankees to the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 22, 2016 for cash. The LHP was 5-3, 2.96 ERA, 61 K, 1.27 WHIP, .252 BAA in 70.0 IP over 20 games with 11 GS at Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and 0-0, 6.00 ERA, 1 K, 1.83 WHIP, .292 BAA in 6.0 IP over 3 games with the Yankees. Over nine MLB seasons with the Pirates, Yankees, Blue Jays, Cubs and Tigers he is 22-27, 4.19 ERA, 323 K, 1.44 WHIP, .276 BAA, 8 SV in 421.0 IP over 407 games with 15 GS. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the 26th round in 2002. Coke turned 34 on July 19.
