Ryon Healy September 2016 AL Rookie of the Month

Ryon Healy of the Oakland Athletics was selected the American League Rookie of the Month for September 2016. During the month he hit 38 for 107, .355/.389/.636 with 9 2B, 7 HR, 19 RBI, 19 R, 0 SB and 5 BB in 27 games. This season the third baseman hit .305/.337/.524 with 13 HR, 37 RBI, 36 R, 0 SB in 72 games with the Athletics, .318/.409/.628 with 8 HR, 34 RBI, 27 R, 1 SB in 36 games at Double A Midland.  He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the third round in 2013. Healy turned 24 on January 10.
