Ben Gamel International League MVP 2016
Ben Gamel of the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Railriders was selected the International League MVP for 2016. This season the outfielder hit .308/.365/.420 with 6 HR, 51 RBI, 80 R, 19 SB in 116 games at SWB, 1 for 8, .125/.222/.125 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 6 games with the Yankees and 8 for 40, .200/.289/.325 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB in 27 games with the Mariners. Scranton-Wilkes Barre is the Triple A team of the New York Yankees. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the 10th round in 2010 and was traded to the Mariners in August 2016. Gamel turned 24 on May 17.
