Josh Collmenter traded to Braves
Josh Collmenter was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Atlanta Braves on September 14, 2016 for cash. The RHP had signed with the Cubs after being released by the Diamondbacks in August. He was 0-1, 10.57 ERA, 6 K, 2.22 WHIP, .382 BAA in 7.2 IP over 3 games at Class A Advanced Visalia, 0-1, 1.23 ERA, 6 K, 1.64 WHIP, .241 BAA in 7.1 IP over 3 games at Triple A Reno, 1-0, 4.84 ERA, 17 K, 1.43 WHIP, .243 BAA in 22.1 IP over 15 games with the Diamondbacks and 1-0, 2.25 ERA, 9 K, 1.31 WHIP, .224 BAA in 16.0 IP over 4 games at Triple A Iowa. Over six MLB seasons with the Braves and Diamondbacks he is 38-33, 3.50 ERA, 476 K, 1.18 WHIP, .250 BAA, 2 SV in 678.1 IP over 203 games with 78 GS. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 15th round in 2007. Collmenter will be 31 on February 7th.
