Juan Francisco traded to Brewers

Juan Francisco was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Milwaukee Brewers on June 3, 2013. In exchange the Braves received Tom Keeling.

Francisco is a third baseman with fives seasons MLB experience playing with the Braves and Reds. This season he was hitting .241/.287/.398 with 5 HR, 16 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 35 games. For his MLB career he has hit .254/.299/.431 with 19 HR, 77 RBI, 44 R, 2 SB in 209 games. He originally signed with the Reds as an amateur free agent in 2004 out of the Dominican Republic. Francisco will be 26 on June 24.

LHP Keeling was pitching at Double A Huntsville where he was 0-1, 3.18 ERA, 19 K, 1.47 WHIP, 1 SV in 17.0 IP over 17 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 18th round in 2010. Keeling turned 25 on March 30.
