Oregon State defeated Louisville 11-4 to eliminate them in the fifth game of the College World Series in Omaha. The Beavers scored seven unearned runs in the third and fourth innings to jump out 10-0 and they never looked back. The top three spots of Tyler Smith, Andy Peterson and Michael Conforto were a combined 7 for 13 to lead the Oregon State attack. Adam Engel provided the limited offensive spark for the Cardinals in the seventh when he doubled to drive in two. Ben Wentzel did enough over 6.1 innings to pick up his 10th win of the year.
