Mississippi State beat Oregon State 4-1 to eliminate them in game 11 of the College World Series in Omaha. The victory allowed the Bulldogs to advance to the championship series against UCLA which starts Monday. Mississippi State got on the board first in the fourth when Brett Pirtle scored on an infield single by C T Bradford. They added to their lead in the fifth when Hunter Renfroe hit his 16th home run of the season when Adam Frazier and Alex Detz were on base. It was just the third home run at the College World Series this year. Oregon State got their only run in the sixth when Max Gordon scored on a single by Andy Peterson. Kendall Graveman picked up the win while allowing four hits over 5.2 innings.
