Yoshinori Tateyama traded to Yankees

Yoshinori Tateyama was traded by the Texas Rangers to the New York Yankees on June 21, 2013 for future considerations. RHP Tateyama has two seasons MLB experience both with the Rangers. He also had six seasons experience pitching for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters in Japan. Before the traded he pitched at Triple A Round Rock and was 0-1, 4.24 ERA, 44 K, 1.38 WHIP in 34.0 IP over 23 games. For his MLB career he is 3-0, 5.75 ERA, 61 K, 1.18 WHIP, 1 SV in 61.0 IP over 53 games. The Yankees assigned him to Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Tateyama will be 38 on December 26.
