Carlos Gonzalez hits 3 home runs vs Reds 060513
Carlos Gonzalez of the Colorado Rockies was hit three home runs in a 12-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on June 5, 2013. For the game he was 3 for 5 with three home runs, six RBI and three runs while playing left field. He started with a solo blast in the first inning, hit a three run shot in the fourth and completed the trifecta with a two run dinger in the eighth. This season he is hitting .313/.393/.625 with 17 HR, 42 RBI, 49 R, 12 SB in 58 games. He is in his sixth MLB season and over his career has hit .300/.359/.528 with 116 HR, 391 RBI, 425 R, 98 SB in 639 games. He was originally signed by the Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent in 2002 out of Venezuela. Gonzalez will be 28 on October 17.
