UCLA 2 LSU 1 CWS 2013 game 4

UCLA beat Louisiana State 2-1 in the fourth game of the College World Series in Omaha. UCLA were the poster boys of opportunistic play when they scored unearned runs in the sixth and eighth to hand LSU RHP Austin Nola his first loss of the season. Mason Katz did get the Tigers on the board first with a solo home run in the fourth. Brian Carroll scored on a sacrifice fly by Eric Filia in the sixth. Christoph Bono scored in the eighth after Filia hit a ball that was misplayed by Tiger shortstop Alex Bregman. Bruin RHP Adam Putko did a pretty good job in taming the Tiger bats allowing only four hits over seven innings.
