Henry Rodriguez was traded by the Washington Nationals to the Chicago Cubs on June 11, 2013. In exchange the the Nationals received Ian Dickson.
RHP Rodriguez has five seasons MLB pitching with the Nationals and Athletics. This season he was 0-1, 4.00 ERA, 11 K, 1.67 WHIP in 18.0 IP over 17 games with the Nationals. For his MLB career he is 5-7, 4.23 ERA, 149 K, 1.48 WHIP, 11 SV in 144.2 IP over 143 games. He originally signed with the Athletics as an amateur free agent in 2003 out of Venezuela. Rodriguez turned 26 on February 25.
RHP Dickson was at Class A Kane County where he was 2-2, 6.88 ERA, 32 K, 1.50 WHIP, 1 SV in 35.1 IP over 11 games. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in the 35th round in 2011. Dickson will be 23 on September 16.
