John McDonald traded to Indians
John McDonald was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Cleveland Indians on Jun 10, 2013 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. McDonald is SS/2B/3B with 15 seasons MLB experience playing for the Pirates, Diamondbacks, Blue Jays, Tigers and Indians. Before the trade he hit .065/.171/.097 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 16 games with the Pirates. For his MLB career he has hit .237/.275/.328 with 27 HR, 202 RBI, 264 R, 33 SB in 972 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 12th round in 1996. McDonald will be 39 on September 24.
