Pedro Ciriaco traded to Padres

Pedro Ciriaco was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the San Diego Padres on June 14, 2013 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. He is a 3B/SS/2B with four seasons MLB experience playing with the Red Sox and Pirates. This season he has hit .216/.293/.353 with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 4 R, 2 SB in 28 games. For his MLB career he has hit .287/.315/.398 with 3 HR, 30 RBI, 44 R, 20 SB in 135 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent in 2003 out of the Dominican Republic. Ciriaco will be 28 on September 27.
