Wil Myers June 2016 NL Player of the Month

Wil Myers of the San Diego Padres was selected the National League Player of the Month for June 2016. During the month he hit 32 for 98, .327/.429/.765 with 10 2B, 11 HR, 33 RBI, 25 R, 5 SB and 19 BB in 26 games. This season the first baseman is hitting .285/.351/.538 with 19 HR, 57 RBI, 55 R, 13 SB in 79 games. Over his four MLB seasons with the Padres and Rays he has hit .264/.333/.440 with 46 HR, 174 RBI, 182 R, 29 SB in 314 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the third round in 2009, was traded to the Rays in 2012 and traded to the Padres in 2014. Myers turned 25 on December 10.
