Zach Duke traded to Cardinals

Zach Duke was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the St Louis Cardinals on July 31, 2016. The White Sox in exchange received Charlie Tilson. 

LHP Duke was 2-0, 2.63 ERA, 42 K, 1.25 WHIP, .225 BAA, 1 SV in 37.2 IP over 53 games with the White Sox in 2016. Over 12 MLB seasons with the White Sox, Brewers, Reds, Nationals, Diamondbacks and Pirates he was 60-83, 4.35 ERA, 747 K, 1.45 WHIP, .295 BAA, 3 SV in 1243.0 IP over 413 games with 169 GS. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 20th round in 2001. Duke turned 33 on April 19.

Tilson is an outfielder who hit .282/.345/.407 with 4 HR, 34 RBI, 53 R, 15 SB in 100 games at Triple A Memphis in 2016. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the second round in 2011. Tilson turned 23 on December 2nd.
