AL 11 for 15 at All Star Break

The American League has 11 teams with winning records at the All Star break. Four are in the AL East: Baltimore Orioles (51-36), Boston Red Sox (49-38), Toronto Blue Jays (51-40), and New York Yankees (44-44). Four are in the AL Central: Cleveland Indians (52-36), Detroit Tigers (46-43), Chicago White Sox (45-43) and Kansas City Royals (45-43). Three are in the AL West: Texas Rangers (54-36), Houston Astros (48-41) and Seattle Mariners (45-44). That was aided by a 97-83 record against the National League in inter-league play. The National League does boast the MLB team with the best record in the San Francisco Giants with a 57-33 record although they only went 6-6 in inter-league play.
