Andrew Miller traded to Indians

Andrew Miller was traded by the New York Yankees to the Cleveland Indians on July 31, 2016. The Yankees in exchange received Ben Heller, Clint Frazier, J.P. Feyereisen and Justus Sheffield.

LHP Miller was 6-1, 1.39 ERA, 77 K, 0.77 WHIP, .174 BAA, 9 SV in 45.1 IP over 44 games with the Yankees in 2016. Over 11 MLB seasons with the Yankees, Orioles, Red Sox, Marlins and Tigers he was 39-41, 4.35 ERA, 667 K, 1.43 WHIP, .247 BAA, 46 SV in 599.2 IP over 363 games with 66 GS. He was originally drafted by the Tigers with the sixth pick of the first round in 2006. Miller turned 31 on May 21.

RHP Heller had split 2016 between Double A Akron and Triple A Columbus. He was 1-0, 0.55 ERA, 23 K, 0.49 WHIP, .057 BAA, 7 SV in 16.1 IP over 15 games at Akron and 2-2, 2.49 ERA, 25 K, 1.07 WHIP, .217 BAA, 5 SV in 25.1 IP over 28 games at Columbus. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 22nd round in 2013. Heller will be 25 on August 5th.

Frazier is an outfielder who split 2016 between Akron and Columbus. He hit .276/.356/.469 with 13 HR, 48 RBI, 56 R, 13 SB in 89 games at Akron and 5 for 21, .238/.238/.333 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Columbis. He was originally drafted by the Indians with the fifth pick of the first round in 2013. Frazier will be 22 on September 6th.

RHP Feyereisen was 4-3, 2.23 ERA, 56 K, 1.24 WHIP, .205 BAA, 5 SV in 40.1 IP over 33 games at Akron in 2016. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 16th round in 2014. Feyereisen turned 23 on February 7th.

LHP Sheffield was 7-5, 3.59 ERA, 93 K, 1.37 WHIP, .252 BAA in 95.1 IP over 19 games at Class A Advanced in 2016. He was originally drafted by the Indians with the 31st pick of the first round in 2014. Sheffield turned 20 on May 13.
