Scott Carroll traded to Rangers

Scott Carroll was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Texas Rangers on July 20, 2016 for cash.The RHP had split 2016 between Triple A Charlotte and the White Sox. He was 2-8, 5.55 ERA, 31 K, 1.72 WHIP, .313 BAA in 60.0 IP over 16 games with 12 GS at Charlotte and 0-0, 11.57 ERA, 2 K, 1.29 WHIP, .250 BAA in 2.1 IP over 3 games with the White Sox. Over three MLB seasons with the White Sox he was 6-11, 4.60 ERA, 93 K, 1.47 WHIP, .286 BAA in 168.1 IP over 47 games with 19 GS. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the third round in 2007. Carroll will be 32 on September 24.
