Wilmer Flores 6 for 6 vs Cubs

Wilmer Flores of the New York Mets was 6 for 6 in a 14-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs on July 3, 2016. It was only one day after C.J. Cron of the Los Angeles Angels had a similar performance. Flores was 6 for 6 with two home runs, 4 RBI and three runs scored while hitting fifth and playing third base. He started off with a solo shot and a single in the second inning, had a single in the fourth, hit a two-run home run in the fifth, and then singled in the seventh and eighth. This season he is hitting .255/.317/.403 with 5 HR, 18 RBI, 16 R, 1 SB in 51 games. Over four MLB seasons with the Mets he has hit .254/.292/.388 with 28 HR, 119 RBI, 107 R, 2 SB in 293 games. He originally signed with the Mets in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Flores will be 25 on August 6th.
