Steve Clevenger traded to Mariners

Steve Clevenger was traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Seattle Mariners on December 2, 2015. The Orioles in exchange received Mark Trumbo and C.J. Riefenhauser.

Clevenger is a C\1B who split 2015 between Triple A Norfolk and the Orioles. He hit .305/.375/.393 with 4 HR, 32 RBI, 28 R, 0 SB in 75 games at Norfolk and .287/.314/.426 with 2 HR, 15 RBI, 11 R, 0 SB in 30 games with the Orioles. Over six MLB seasons with the Mariners, Orioles and Cubs he hit .227/.278/.325 with 3 HR, 41 RBI, 38 R, 0 SB in 149 games. His MLB caught stealing rate is 15%. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in the seventh round in 2006 and traded to the Orioles in 2013. Clevenger turned 30 on April 5th.

Trumbo is a 1B\OF who split 2015 between the Diamondbacks and Mariners. He hit .259/.299/.506 with 9 HR, 23 RBI, 23 R, 0 SB in 46 games with the Diamondbacks and .263/.316/.419 with 13 HR, 41 RBI, 39 R, 0 SB in 96 games with the Mariners. Over seven MLB seasons with the Orioles, Mariners, Diamondbacks and Angels he has hit .251/.302/.458 with 131 HR, 409 RBI, 319 R, 21 SB in 694 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the 18th round in 2004, traded to the Diamondbacks in 2013 and traded to the Mariners in June 2015. Trumbo turned 30 on January 16.

LHP Riefenhauser split 2015 between Class A Advanced Charlotte, Triple A Durham and the Rays. He was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 K, 2.00 WHIP, .000 BAA in 1.0 IP in 1 game at Charlotte, 4-2, 2.86 ERA, 34 K, 0.92 WHIP, .200 BAA, 1 SV in 34.2 IP in 29 games at Durham and 1-0, 5.52 ERA, 7 K, 1.50 WHIP, .283 BAA in 14.2 IP in 17 games with the Rays. Over two MLB seasons with the Rays he was 1-0, 6.30 ERA, 9 K, 1.55 WHIP, .284 BAA in 20.0 IP over 24 games. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the 20th round in 2010 and traded to the Mariners in November 2015. Riefenhauser turned 26 on January 30.
