Jose Ramirez traded to Braves
Jose Ramirez was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Atlanta Braves on December 4, 2015 for a PTBNL and cash. RHP Ramirez split 2015 between Triple A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, the New York Yankees, Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners. He was 3-0, 2.90 ERA, 56 K, 1.27 WHIP, .217 BAA, 10 SV in 49.2 IP over 32 games at Scranton/Wilkes Barre, 0-0, 15.00 ERA, 2 K, 3.33 WHIP, .400 BAA in 3.0 IP over 3 games with the Yankees, 1-1, 9.00 ERA, 10 K, 1.77 WHIP, .308 BAA in 13.0 IP over 9 games at Tacoma and 1-0, 11.57 ERA, 3 K, 3.21 WHIP, .375 BAA in 4.2 IP over 5 games with the Mariners. Over two MLB seasons with the Yankees and Mariners he was 1-2, 10.53 ERA, 19 K, 2.64 WHIP, .344 BAA in 19.2 IP over 18 games. He originally signed with the Yankees in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic and was traded to the Mariners in July 2015. Ramirez turned 26 on January 21.
