Francisco Pena traded to Orioles

Francisco Pena was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Baltimore Orioles on December 2, 2015 in exchange for cash. The catcher split 2015 between Triple A Omaha and the Royals. He hit .251/.305/.430 with 13 HR, 48 RBI, 42 R, 4 SB in 95 games at Omaha and .143/.143/.143 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 8 games with the Royals. Over two MLB seasons with the Royals he hit .143/.143/.143 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 9 games. His minor league caught stealing rate was 31%. He originally signed with the Mets as an amateur free agent in 2006. Pena will be 27 on October 12.
