Yunel Escobar traded to Angels

Yunel Escobar was traded by the Washington Nationals to the Los Angeles Angels on December 10, 2015 along with cash. The Nationals in exchange received Michael Brady and Trevor Gott. 

Escobar is a third baseman who hit .314/.375/.415 with 9 HR, 56 RBI, 75 R, 2 SB in 139 games with the Nationals in 2015. Over 10 MLB seasons with the Angels, Nationals, Rays, Blue Jays and Braves he has hit .280/.350/.386 with 81 HR, 456 RBI, 588 R, 33 SB in 1236 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2005. Escobar turned 33 on November 2nd.

RHP Brady pitched in 2015 a Double A Arkansas where he was 7-7, 3.77 ERA, 113 K, 1.14 WHIP, .267 BAA in 119.1 IP over 32 games with 19 GS. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the 24th round in 2009. Brady turned 29 on March 21.

RHP Gott split 2015 between Arkansas, Triple A Salt Lake and the Angels, He was 1-0, 3.20 ERA, 20 K, 1.32 WHIP, .268 BAA, 8 SV in 19.2 IP over 18 games at Arkansas, 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 10 K, 1.44 WHIP, .241 BAA in 8.1 IP over 7 games at Salt Lake and 4-2, 3.02 ERA, 27 K, 1.24 WHIP, .242 BAA in 47.2 IP over 48 games with the Angels. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the sixth round in 2013. Gott will be 24 on August 26,
