Sam Freeman traded to Rangers
Sam Freeman was traded by the St Louis Cardinals to the Texas Rangers on March 28, 2015 for a PTBNL or cash. The LHP split 2014 between Triple A Memphis and the Cardinals. He was 0-1, 3.54 ERA, 26 K, 1.57 WHIP, .291 BAA in 20.1 IP over 16 games at Memphis and 2-0, 2.61 ERA, 35 K, 1.39 WHIP, .236 BAA in 38.0 IP over 44 games with the Cardinals. Over three MLB seasons with the Cardinals he was 3-2, 3.33 ERA, 61 K, 1.32 WHIP, .225 BAA in 70.1 IP over 81 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 32nd round in 2008. Freeman will be 28 on June 24.
