Elliot Johnson traded to Dodgers

Elliot Johnson was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 31, 2015 for cash. The 2B\SS\OF split 2014 between Triple A Columbus and the Indians before signing with the Rangers as a free agent in February. He hit .236/.326/.366 with 5 HR, 37 RBI, 43 R, 10 SB in 87 games at Columbus and .105/.105/.211 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 7 games with the Indians. Over five MLB seasons with the Indians, Braves, Royals and Rays he has hit .215/.269/.316 with 12 HR, 69 RBI, 80 R, 46 SB in 318 games. He originally signed with the Rays as an amateur free agent in 2002. Johnson turned 31 on March 9th.
