This is the second update for 2015 on Bubba Starling and Logan Moon. Bubba Starling was the Royals first round pick in 2011 and is from Gardner, KS. Starling is still young as he will be 23 on August 3rd. Moon was drafted by the Royals in the sixth round in 2014. Moon played in college at Missouri Southern and is a bit older having turned 23 on February 15. Both Starling and Moon started out 2015 as teammates in the outfield at Class A Advanced Wilmington.
Bubba had a short week at Wilmington as he hit 7 for 12 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 3 R and 1 SB in 4 games. His hot start has earned him a promotion to Double A Northwest Arkansas but he has yet to play a game there. Overall at Wilmington he hit .386/.471/.614 with 2 HR, 12 RBI, 6 R, 2 SB in 12 games.
The advancement of Bubba freed up some playing time for Logan and he hit 5 for 21 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in six games this week. For the season he is hitting .222/.263/.250 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 10 games.
