Jackson Williams traded to Giants
Jackson Williams was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the San Francisco Giants on March 17, 2015 in exchange for cash. The catcher split 2014 between Triple A Colorado Springs and the Rockies before being selected off waivers by the Angels in October. He hit .256/.353/.368 with 4 HR, 34 RBI, 26 R, 3 SB in 72 games at Colorado Springs and .214/.313/.429 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 7 games with the Rockies. He was originally drafted by the Giants with the 43rd pick of the first round in 2007. Williams will be 29 on May 14.
