Yankees win AL East 2012
The New York Yankees secured the American League East crown on the last day of the regular season with a 14-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The victory pushed their record to 95-67 and they finished with a two game lead over the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees also finished with the best record in the American League.
