Cardinals advance Nationals out NLDS 2012

The Wild Card St Louis Cardinals knocked the NL East Champs Washington Nationals out of the NL playoffs. They over came a 6-0 deficit after three to win 9-7. Daniel Descalso brought the Cardinals back from the brink by hitting a two out RBI single in the ninth to tie the game at 7. Drew Storen continued his implosion and allowed two more runs and his counter part Jason Motte shut down the Nationals in the bottom of the ninth to pick up the win. Descalso finished the game 3 for 5 with 3 RBI, 3 runs and a steal. The Cardinals next face the Giants in the NLCS.
