Tigers sweep Yankees ALCS 2012
The Detroit Tigers swept the New York Yankees in the ALCS to advance to the 2012 World Series. Max Scherzer continued the Tigers pitching dominance over the Yankees as his line was 5.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 10 K in 98 pitches. Jhonny Peralta hit two home runs including his first in the fourth to help knock C C Sabathia out of the game. The Tigers won the clinching game 8-1. They now await the winner of the St Louis Cardinals\ San Francisco Giants NLCS.
