Jeremy Jeffress traded to Brewers

Jeremy Jeffress was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 31, 2017. The Rangers in exchange received Tayler Scott.

RHP Jeffress was 1-2, 5.31 ERA, 29 K, 1.67 WHIP, .304 BAA in 40.2 IP over 39 games with the Rangers in 2017. Over eight MLB seasons with the Rangers, Brewers, Blue Jays and Royals he is 13-6, 3.31 ERA, 213 K, 1.43 WHIP, .266 BAA, 28 SV in 247.2 IP over 249 games. This is his third stint with the Brewers. He was originally drafted by the Brewers with the 16th pick of the first round in 2006, traded to the Royals in 2010, traded to the Blue Jays in 2012, signed with the Brewers in 2014 and traded to the Rangers in 2016. Jeffress will be 30 on September 21.

RHP Scott was 4-6, 2.34 ERA, 63 K, 1.49 WHIP, .245 BAA, 2 SV in 61.2 IP over 42 games at Double A Biloxi in 2017. He was originally drafted by the Cubs in the fifth round in 2011 and signed with the Brewers in 2016. Scott turned 25 on June 1st.
