Garrett Hampson of the Lancaster JetHawks was selected the California League Player of the Week for the span of August 7, 2017 through August 13, 2017. For the week he hit 11 for 25, .440/.462/.720 with 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 7 R, 5 SB and 1 BB in 6 games. This season the shortstop is hitting 146 for 465, .314/.375/.443 with 6 HR, 60 RBI, 98 R, 45 SB in 111 games. Lancaster is the Class A Advanced team of the Colorado Rockies. He was originally drafted by the Rockies in the third round in 2016. Hampson turned 22 on October 10.
