Chris Hatcher was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Oakland Athletics on August 15, 2017 for international signing bonus pool space. The RHP had split 2017 between Rookie Arizona and Triple A Oklahoma City while rehabbing and with the Dodgers. He was 0-0, 4.50 ERA, 3 K, 1.00 WHIP, .250 BAA in 2.0 IP over 2 games at Arizona, 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 6 K, 0.75 WHIP, .143 BAA in 4.0 IP over 3 games at Oklahoma City and 0-1, 4.66 ERA, 43 K, 1.34 WHIP, .259 BAA in 36.2 IP over 26 games with the Dodgers. Over seven MLB seasons with the Dodgers and Marlins he was 8-14, 4.72 ERA, 216 K, 1.37 WHIP, .261 BAA in 206.0 IP over 193 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the fifth round in 2006 and was traded to the Dodgers in 2014. Hatcher turned 32 on January 12.
