Neil Walker traded to Brewers
Neil Walker was traded by the New York Mets to the Milwaukee Brewers on August 12, 2017 along with cash for a PTBNL. The second baseman had split 2017 between Triple A Las Vegas while rehabbing and the Mets. He hit 5 for 19, .263/.300/.316 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Las Vegas and 70 for 265, .264/.339/.442 with 10 HR, 36 RBI, 40 R, 0 SB in 73 games with the Mets. Over nine MLB seasons with the Mets and Pirates he hit .272/.339/.437 with 126 HR, 509 RBI, 502 R, 29 SB in 1022 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates with the 11th pick of the first round in 2004 and was traded to the Mets in 2015. Walker will be 32 on September 10.
