Tyler Clippard traded to Astros
Tyler Clippard was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Houston Astros on August 13, 2017 for a PTBNL. The RHP was 1-1, 1.80 ERA, 12 K, 1.30 WHIP, .211 BAA, 2 SV in 10.0 IP over 11 games with the White Sox after being traded by the Yankees on July 19. Over 11 MLB seasons with the Astros, White Sox, Yankees, Diamondbacks, Mets, Athletics and Nationals he was 48-41, 3.04 ERA, 739 K, 1.12 WHIP, .196 BAA, 59 SV in 672.1 IP over 610 games with 8 GS. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the ninth round in 2003. Clippard turned 32 on February 14.
