Brallan Perez traded to Orioles
Brallan Perez was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Baltimore Orioles on August 5, 2017 for international signing bonus pool space. The second baseman had split 2017 between Class A Hickory, Class A Advanced Down East and Triple A Round Rock. He hit 28 for 78, .359/.407/.449 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, 12 R, 0 SB in 21 games at Hickory, 37 for 158, .234/.309/.266 with 1 HR, 8 RBI, 16 R, 8 SB in 46 games at Down East and 0 for 5 in 2 games at Round Rock. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of Columbia. Perez turned 21 on January 27.
