John Lamb traded to Rays

John Lamb was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Tampa Bay Rays on November 2, 2016 for cash. The LHP split 2016 between Triple A Louisville and the Reds. He was 2-2, 5.22 ERA, 26 K, 1.50 WHIP, .299 BAA in 29.1 IP over 6 games at Louisville and 1-7, 6.43 ERA, 58 K, 1.64 WHIP, .303 BAA in 70.0 IP over 14 games with the Reds. Over two MLB seasons with the Reds he was 2-12, 6.17 ERA, 116 K, 1.60 WHIP, .300 BAA in 119.2 IP over 24 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the fifth round in 2008 and traded to the Reds in 2015. Lamb turned 26 on July 10.
