Dawel Lugo of the Salt River Rafters was selected the Arizona Fall League Player of the Week for the span of October 31, 2016 through November 6, 2016. For the week he hit 7 for 15, .467/.467/0.800 with 2 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB and 0 BB in 3 games. This fall the 3B\SS is hitting 22 for 74, .297/.289/.405 with 1 HR, 12 RBI, 9 R, 1 SB in 17 games.
The Diamondbacks prospect had split the 2016 season between Class A Advanced Visalia and Double A Mobile. He hit .314/.348/.514 with 5 HR, 13 RBI, 61 R, 2 SB in 79 games at Visalia and .306/.322/.451 with 4 HR, 20 RBI, 24 R, 1 SB in 48 games at Mobile. He originally signed with the Blue Jays in 2011 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic and was traded to the Diamondbacks in 2015. Lugo will be 22 on December 31.
