Travis Blackley traded to Rangers

Travis Blackley was traded by the Houston Astros to the Texas Rangers on August 14, 2013 in exchange for cash. LHP Blackley has four seasons MLB experience pitching with the Astros, Athletics, Giants and Mariners. Prior to the trade he was 1-1, 4.89 ERA, 29 K, 1.43 WHIP in 35.0 IP over 42 games with the Astros. For his MLB career he is 8-8, 5.28 ERA, 121 K, 1.42 WHIP in 177.1 IP over 78 games. He originally signed with the Mariners in 2000 as an amateur free agent out of Australia. Blackley will be 31 on November 4th.
