Julio Concepcion traded to Angels

Julio Concepcion was traded by the New York Mets to the Los Angeles Angels on July 27, 2013 along with Andres Perez. In exchange the Mets received an International Signing bonus allotment. 

Concepcion is an outfielder who was with Class A Brooklyn of the New York Mets prior to the trade. He hit .238/.238/.286 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 6 games at Brooklyn. He originally signed with the Mets in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Concepcion will be 24 on September 5th.

RHP Perez pitched with Rookie Kingsport of the New York Mets prior to the trade. He was 0-1, 5.52 ERA, 11 K, 1.36 WHIP in 14.2 IP over 7 games at Kingsport. He originally signed with the Mets in 2008 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Perez turned 22 on February 8th.
