David DeJesus traded to Nationals
David DeJesus was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Washington Nationals on August 19, 2013 in exchange for a player to be named later. DeJesus is an outfielder with 11 seasons MLB experience playing with the Cubs, Athletics and Royals. Prior to the trade he hit .250/.330/.401 with 6 HR, 27 RBI, 39 R, 3 SB in 84 games with the Cubs. For his MLB career he has hit .279/.354/.417 w/ 86 HR, 513 RBI, 676 R, 61 SB in 1240 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the fourth round in 2000. DeJesus will be 34 on December 20.
