Drew Butera traded to Dodgers
Drew Butera was traded by the Minnesota Twins to the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 31, 2013 for a player to be named later or cash. Butura is a catcher with four seasons MLB experience with the Twins. Prior to the trade he split 2013 between Triple A Rochester and the Twins. He hit .218/.247/.310 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB in 27 games at Rochester and was hitless in two games with the Twins. For his MLB career he has hit .182/.230/.263 with 5 HR, 41 RBI, 38 R, 0 SB in 186 games. He was originally drafted by the Mets in the fifth round in 2005. Butura turned 30 on August 9th.
