Emilio Bonifacio traded to Royals

Emilio Bonifacio was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Kansas City Royals on August 14, 2013 in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. Bonifacio is an OF\2B\3B with seven seasons MLB experience playing with the Blue Jays, Marlins, Nationals and Diamondbacks. Prior to the trade he hit .218/.258/.321 with 3 HR, 20 RBI, 33 R, 12 SB in 94 games with the Blue Jays. For his MLB career he has hit .261/.319/.340 with 10 HR, 120 RBI, 274 R, 122 SB in 570 games. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2001 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Bonifacio turned 28 on April 23.
