Wil Nieves traded to Braves
Catcher Will Nieves was traded by the Milwaukee Brewers to the Atlanta Braves on July 27, 2011 for cash. This season before the trade Nieves batted .189 with zero home runs, zero RBI, two runs and zero steals in 20 games with the Brewers before being sent down to Triple A where he hit .170 with one home run, six RBI, three runs and zero steals in 23 games. In his major league career he has played for the Brewers, Nationals, Yankees and Padres while hitting .221 with five home runs, 73 RBI, 55 runs and 2 steals in 282 games. He was originally drafted by the Padres is the 47th round in 1995.
