Francisco Rodriguez traded to Brewers

Pitcher Francisco Rodriguez was traded by the New York Mets to the Milwaukee Brewers on July 12, 2011. In exchange the Mets will receive two players to be named later. Rodriguez has pitched for the Mets and Angels in his 10 year career in which he is 33-27 with a 2.56 ERA, 777 strikeouts, 1.16 WHIP and 291 saves over 622.2 innings. Before the trade this season he was 2-2 with a 3.16 ERA, 46 strikeouts, 1.41 WHIP and 23 saves in 42.2 innings for New York. He originally signed with the Angels as an amateur free agent in 1998 from Venezuela.
