Mike Cameron traded to Marlins

Outfielder Mike Cameron was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Florida Marlins on July 5, 2011. In exchange the Red Sox received cash and a player to be named later. Cameron has had a well traveled career and has spent time with the Red Sox, Brewers, Padres, Mets, Mariners, Reds and White Sox. For his career Cameron has hit .248 with 273 home runs and 296 steals. Before the trade he was hitting .149 with 3 home runs, 9 RBI, 9 runs and zero steals in 33 games with Boston. He was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 18th round in 1991.
