NL All Star Game starters 2011

Earlier I went over the American League starters for the All Star game next week. Now it's the National League's turn. On the National League team Brian McCann was voted in at catcher, Prince Fielder at first base, Rickie Weeks at second base, Placido Polanco at third base, Jose Reyes at shortstop, and Ryan Braun, Lance Berkman and Matt Kemp in the outfield. Half represent the Central with four while three were from the East and one from the West.


Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves is hitting .314 with 14 home runs, 48 RBI, 34 runs and 2 steals. This is his sixth All Star selection. He was drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2002.


Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers is hitting .304 with 22 home runs, 71 RBI, 53 runs and zero steals. This is his third All Star selection. He was drafted by the Brewers with the seventh pick of the first round in 2002.


Rickie Weeks of the Milwaukee Brewers is hitting .273 with 34 RBI, 61 runs and 7 steals. This is his first All Star selection, He was drafted by the Brewers with the second pick of the first round in 2003.


Placido Polanco of the Philadelphia Phillies is hitting .274 with four home runs, 39 RBI, 34 runs and 3 steals. This is his second All Star selection. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the 19th round in 1994.


Jose Reyes of the New York Mets is hitting .354 with three home runs, 32 RBI, 65 runs and 30 steals. This is his fourth All Star selection. He signed with the Mets as an amateur free agent in 1999.


Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers is hitting .320 with 16 home runs, 62 RBI, 57 runs and 19 steals. This is his fourth All Star selection. He was drafted by the Brewers with the fifth pick of the first round in 2005.


Lance Berkman of the St Louis Cardinals is hitting .292 with 23 home runs, 62 RBI, 52 runs and zero steals. This is his sixth All Star selection. He was drafted by the Astros with the 16th pick of the first round in 1997.


Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers is hitting .324 with 22 home runs, 64 RBI, 54 runs and 25 steals. This is his first All Star selection, He was drafted by the Dodgers in the sixth round in 2003.
